Australia clinched a four-wicket win over India in the second T20I of the three-match series played today in Melbourne, taking a 1–0 lead after the opening game was washed out due to rain.

Batting first, India were bowled out for 125 runs in the 19th over. Abhishek Sharma smashed a quickfire 68 off 37 balls, while Harshit Rana chipped in with 35 runs.

For Australia, Josh Hazlewood starred with the ball, claiming 3 wickets, while Xavier Bartlett and Nathan Ellis took two apiece.

In reply, Australia chased down the target in the 14th over, finishing on 126/6. Mitchell Marsh led the charge with a blistering 46 off 26 balls, and Travis Head added 28 off 15.

India’s bowlers tried to fight back, with Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav each picking up two wickets, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Australia’s victory.

With this win, Australia go 1–0 up in the series ahead of the final match. Josh Hazlewood was named Player of the Match for his brilliant spell.
