The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a massive financial reward of ₹131 crore for the India national cricket team following their triumph at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The reward amounts to over 445 crore Sri Lankan rupees, highlighting the magnitude of the celebration after India secured the prestigious T20 title.
This bonus will be awarded in addition to the prize money provided by the International Cricket Council.
The BCCI announced the reward while congratulating the players, coaching staff, selection committee members, and support staff who contributed to India’s successful campaign in the tournament.
The board praised the team’s outstanding performance and dedication, which ultimately led to India lifting the T20 World Cup trophy once again, marking another historic moment for Indian cricket.
