Colombo North emerged champions of the Under-19 Youth League cricket tournament after defeating Colombo South in the final played yesterday.
The match took place at the Anuradhapura Samadhi Cricket Ground.
Batting first, Colombo South posted 232 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Suwahas Fernando scored 80 runs, while Rehan Peiris contributed 53 runs.
In reply, Colombo North chased down the target, reaching 233 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 40.5 overs. Dulnith Sigera top-scored with 68 runs, and Avesh Samash added 45 runs to seal the victory.
