Pakistan secured their place in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup after a dominant 102-run victory over Namibia today at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
Batting first, Pakistan posted an imposing total of 199/3 in their allotted overs.
Star opener Sahibzada Farhan smashed an unbeaten 100 off just 58 balls, registering the third century of this year’s World Cup. He was well supported by:
- Salman Ali Agha – 38 runs
- Shadab Khan – unbeaten 36 runs
For Namibia,
- Jack Brassell claimed 2 wickets
- Gerhard Erasmus picked up 1 wicket
In reply, Namibia were bowled out for just 97 runs.
