The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended the membership of USA Cricket with immediate effect. The decision, confirmed in a media release yesterday, was taken to safeguard the interests of players and the game itself.
According to the ICC statement, USA Cricket repeatedly and continuously failed to meet its obligations under the council’s constitution. This persistent non-compliance ultimately led to the suspension, which will remain in place until corrective measures are taken.
