India Masters secured a thrilling 4-run victory against Sri Lanka Masters in the opening match of the International Masters League T20, held in India.
Batting first, India Masters posted a formidable total of 222/4 in 20 overs. Stuart Binney led the charge with 68 runs, while Yusuf Pathan played an unbeaten knock of 56 runs. For Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal picked up 2 wickets.
Chasing 223, Sri Lanka Masters fought hard but fell just short, managing 218/9 in their 20 overs. Kumar Sangakkara starred with a quickfire 51 off 30 balls, while Jeevan Mendis contributed 42 runs. However, Irfan Pathan’s impressive spell of 3 wickets helped India hold on to a narrow victory.
