India overcame arch-rivals Pakistan by six wickets in a thrilling Asia Cup Super Four match, further intensifying the tournament’s drama.

Batting first, Pakistan posted 171 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 58, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with 21 runs each. For India, Shivam Dube picked up two wickets, while Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav claimed one apiece.

In reply, India’s openers set the tone with a commanding 105-run partnership. Abhishek Sharma dazzled with 74 runs, while Shubman Gill added 47. Despite Haris Rauf taking two wickets, Pakistan struggled to break India’s momentum.

The game was played in an electric atmosphere, with occasional heated exchanges between players adding to the intensity. Ultimately, India chased down the target with ease, registering their best-ever T20 chase against Pakistan.

With this win, India moved to the top of the Super Four standings, followed by Bangladesh, while Sri Lanka and Pakistan sit third and fourth respectively. The next Super Four encounter will see Sri Lanka take on Pakistan tomorrow.
