Former Sri Lankan Test opener Kaushal Silva has been appointed as the head coach of the Hong Kong national cricket team, ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup tournament.

Kaushal Silva, now 39 years old, represented Sri Lanka in 39 Test matches, scoring 2,099 runs during his international career. Known for his grit and solid technique at the top of the order, Silva now takes on a new challenge—guiding an emerging cricket nation on a major stage.
