The 6th match of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) took place yesterday in Guwahati, featuring a showdown between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Winning the toss, KKR elected to bowl first. Rajasthan Royals managed to score 151/9 in 20 overs, with Dhruv Jurel scoring 33 and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding 29. Kolkata’s bowling attack was led by Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, Moeen Ali, and Varun Chakravarthy, who all took two wickets each.
Chasing a target of 152, KKR displayed a commanding performance, reaching 153/2 in 18 overs to claim their first victory of the season. Quinton de Kock played a stunning knock, remaining unbeaten on 97 off 61 balls, while Ankush Raghuvanshi contributed 22 runs.
For Rajasthan Royals, Mahesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga featured in the playing XI. Theekshana conceded 32 runs in his 4 overs, while Hasaranga picked up 1 wicket for 34 runs.
