New Zealand Women secured a seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka Women in the second T20I, held today in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 113/7 in 20 overs. Manudi Nanayakkara was the top scorer with 35 runs, while skipper Chamari Athapaththu contributed 23 runs. Bri Leigh and Jess Kerr impressed with the ball, picking up two wickets each.
In response, New Zealand comfortably chased down the target, reaching 117/3 in 18.3 overs. Suzie Bates led the charge with 47 runs, well supported by Brooke Halliday, who scored 46 runs.
With this victory, New Zealand women continue to dominate the series, showcasing their strength in both batting and bowling.
