In response, Afghanistan A were bundled out for just 168 runs, with Afsar Zazai top-scoring with 54. Isitha Wijesundara took 6 wickets, while Tharindu Ratnayake claimed 3.

In their second innings, Sri Lanka A piled on more pressure by declaring at 376 for 4, with an incredible display that featured three centuries — Nuwanidu Fernando (102), Pasindu Suriyabandara (100), and Pawan Rathnayake (100*).

Set a mammoth target of 614, Afghanistan A managed only 306 in their second innings despite a valiant century from Darwish Rasooli. Isitha Wijesundara continued his brilliance, grabbing another 4 wickets to complete a 10-wicket haul in the match.
