Sri Lanka Women wrapped up the ODI series against West Indies Women with a game to spare, registering a hard-fought 14-run victory in the second match.
The series is being played in the West Indies, and it was Sri Lanka who set the tone once again.
Batting first in the second ODI, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 208 in 47.1 overs. Vishmi Gunaratne top-scored with a composed 58, while Harshitha Samarawickrama added 35. Skipper Chamari Athapaththu chipped in with 32 to steady the innings.
In reply, West Indies were restricted to 194 all out in 48 overs, falling short despite a fighting 50 from Jannillea Glasgow.
With the ball, Sugandika Kumari and Inoka Ranaweera starred with three wickets apiece, while Devmi Vihanga picked up two crucial scalps to seal the series-clinching win.
The third and final ODI is scheduled to be played on the 25th.
