Two players from the Australian women’s cricket team, currently participating in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, have reportedly been subjected to sexual harassment in India.

According to reports, the Australian Cricket Board has confirmed the incident. The two players were allegedly followed and harassed by a man while walking to a restaurant in Indore.

Indian police have since arrested a suspect, identified as an Indian national, in connection with the assault.

The Australian team is staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Indore during the tournament. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association stated that while the incident was unfortunate, an internal investigation is underway to determine how the players were outside the designated security zone at the time.
