The 111th National Tennis Championship, organized by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA), kicked off today at the SLTA courts in Colombo and will run until August 24.
This year’s tournament has attracted around 1,200 players, covering age groups from Under-12 to over 65. Events include singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and wheelchair tennis categories—promising a diverse showcase of talent.
Matches are being held across 10 courts at the SLTA premises, with Yeti Hydration Pvt. Ltd. stepping in as the official sponsor for the event.
With seasoned veterans, emerging juniors, and para-athletes all in the fray, the championship is set to deliver two weeks of high-energy rallies, intense battles, and court-side drama.
