Sri Lanka secured a 66–52 victory over Malaysia in their latest match at the 14th Asian Netball Cup in Hong Kong.
The tournament, which runs until August 15, features teams competing for both the Championship Trophy and the Plate Trophy. Sri Lanka are competing in the Championship Trophy, with the Malaysia clash marking their third match of the tournament.
Sri Lanka opened their campaign with a 57–57 draw against hosts Hong Kong, before suffering a 62–51 defeat to Singapore in their second outing.
The victory over Malaysia gives the Sri Lankan side a much-needed boost as they continue their campaign for the Championship Trophy.
Sri Lanka’s next challenge comes today against India, as the Lankan players look to build on their winning momentum.
