New Zealand claimed victory in the second match of the Tri-Nation ODI series against South Africa, played today in Lahore.
Winning the toss, New Zealand opted to field first. South Africa posted a competitive total of 304/6 in their 50 overs, led by opener Matthew Breetzke’s outstanding 150 and Wiaan Mulder’s 60. Matt Henry and Will O’Rourke took two wickets each for New Zealand.
In response, New Zealand lost an early wicket at 50 runs but staged a remarkable comeback with a 187-run second-wicket partnership between Kane Williamson and Devon Conway. Conway was unfortunate to fall at 97, but Williamson anchored the chase with an unbeaten 133, guiding New Zealand to victory.
