New Zealand secured a commanding 50-run victory over India in the fourth T20I of the five-match series played yesterday.

Batting first, the visitors posted a massive 215 for 7, their second-highest T20I total against India.

Openers Tim Seifert and Devon Conway provided a flying start. Seifert smashed 62 off 36 balls, while Conway scored 44 off 23 balls. The pair powered New Zealand to 71 without loss in the powerplay, their best powerplay total against India in T20Is.

Later, Daryl Mitchell added late momentum with an unbeaten 39 off 19 balls.

For India, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each.

In reply, India suffered an early blow as Matt Henry dismissed Abhishek Sharma off the very first ball of the innings. Wickets fell regularly, but Shivam Dube fought back with a blistering knock, scoring 65 off 23 balls, registering India’s third-fastest T20I fifty. He was run out while trying to keep India in the chase.

India were eventually bowled out for 165, handing New Zealand a convincing 50-run win.

Despite the defeat, India still lead the series 3–1, having won the first three matches, with one game remaining.
