Sri Lanka and Pakistan will battle in a decisive Super Four encounter of the Asia Cup T20 tournament today at the Abu Dhabi International Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM Sri Lanka time.

After losing their opening Super Four game against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka sit third in the points table. India lead the standings, followed by Bangladesh, while Pakistan remain in fourth place. To keep their hopes of reaching the final alive, Sri Lanka must secure victory in tonight’s clash.

Historically, the two sides have met 23 times in T20 internationals, with Pakistan winning 13 matches and Sri Lanka 10.

At yesterday’s press briefing, Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka hinted at two possible changes to the playing XI, with all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and spinner Maheesh Theekshana likely to return to the side.
