Aussies Edge Past Windies with 3-Wicket Victory in T20 Opener

Australia secured a thrilling 3-wicket victory over the West Indies in the first match of the three-match T20 series held in Kingston.

Winning the toss, Australia opted to bowl first. The West Indies posted a competitive total of 189 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Shai Hope contributed 55 runs while Roston Chase top-scored with 60 runs. Ben Dwarshuis was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, claiming 4 crucial wickets.

In response, Australia chased down the target in the 19th over, scoring 190 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Cameron Green scored a quickfire 51, while Mitchell Owen added 50 valuable runs to guide the team to victory.

For the West Indies, Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, and Gudakesh Motie took 2 wickets each.

Mitchell Owen was named Player of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance.
