West Indies produced a batting masterclass to secure a massive 107-run victory over Zimbabwe in their 2026 T20 World Cup Super 8 clash at Wenkhade Stadium.
Batting first, the Caribbean side piled up a staggering 254 for 6 — the highest team total recorded in this year’s World Cup.
Shimron Hetmyer led the charge with a blistering 85 off just 34 balls, while Rovman Powell smashed 59 off 35 deliveries. Sherfane Rutherford added late fireworks with a rapid 31 off only 13 balls.
For Zimbabwe, Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani claimed two wickets each, but the bowlers had little answer to the onslaught.
Chasing a daunting 255, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147 in the 18th over. Brad Evans top-scored with 43, while Dion Myers made 28 and skipper Sikandar Raza contributed 27.
Gudakesh Motie starred with the ball for West Indies, picking up four wickets. Akeal Hosein grabbed three, and Matthew Forde chipped in with two.
