A meeting between the heads of sports divisions from print and electronic media and Minister of Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage was held today (24th) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Deputy Minister of Sports, Sugath Tillakaratne, was also present at the discussion.
During the meeting, the minister outlined the initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Sports since the current government took office and discussed future programs aimed at sports development.
Media professionals were briefed on these plans, while their suggestions and concerns were also taken into consideration.
The session also focused on the challenges faced by the ministry and how the media can contribute to the growth and promotion of sports in the country.
