The Sri Lankan athletics team, which participated in the South Asian Senior Athletics Championships held in Ranchi, India, returned to the island early this morning.
Sri Lanka clinched the runner-up position at the Games, securing a total of 40 medals, including 16 gold, 14 silver, and 10 bronze.
The team was warmly welcomed at the Bandaranaike International Airport, where the Minister of Sports and officials were present to greet the victorious athletes upon their return.
