At a special ceremony held on June 4 at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, RIDE, Sri Lanka’s leading homegrown energy drink brand under Cargills Food & Beverage Ltd, was officially announced as the Official Energy Drink Partner of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Teams.

This partnership reaffirms RIDE’s position as the top local energy drink and marks a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution under its new promise: “Real Energy.” The alliance with a globally recognized force like Sri Lanka Cricket is expected to support RIDE’s ambitions of expanding its presence on the international stage.

Launched in 2020, RIDE has made major strides across modern trade, general trade, and food service sectors. The rebranding coinciding with this partnership signals a fresh chapter, positioning RIDE as a source of strength and resilience for everyday Sri Lankans.

Currently, RIDE’s product range includes:

  • RIDE Classic
  • RIDE Redberry
  • RIDE Sugar-Free
  • And the latest addition, RIDE Glow Apple, offering a refreshing new taste to the lineup.

Recognizing evolving consumer preferences, RIDE is also encouraging the use of its products in creative cocktail recipes.

Speaking on the partnership, Arjuna Kumarasinghe, Managing Director of Cargills Food & Beverage Ltd, stated:

“Cricket is deeply woven into the fabric of Sri Lankan culture. It unites people across the nation. At RIDE, our mission is simple – to empower Sri Lankans, wherever they are, with the energy to push forward. Partnering with the national cricket teams reflects our shared values of passion, perseverance, and unity.”

Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva added:

“We are delighted to welcome RIDE as our official energy drink partner. This is a valued collaboration, and we believe it will help Cargills elevate their brand in a highly competitive market.”

The event was graced by leading cricketing personalities, including:

  • Charith Asalanka (ODI and T20 captain)
  • Dhananjaya de Silva (Test captain)
  • Sanath Jayasuriya (legendary cricketer and current head coach)
  • Chamari Athapaththu (women’s team captain)

…alongside key business leaders and stakeholders.

This partnership promises to energize not just athletes but fans across the island, uniting them under the spirit of cricket and the power of “Real Energy.”
