England and Argentina booked their places in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals after dramatic extra-time victories over Norway and Switzerland, setting up a mouth-watering clash in the last four.
England overcame Norway 2-1 after extra time in the third quarter-final, played in Miami, USA, in front of a crowd of 64,000.
Norway broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, but Jude Bellingham restored parity just before halftime to send the teams into the break level at 1-1.
Neither side could find a winner during the second half, forcing the match into extra time. Bellingham struck again during the additional period, netting his second goal of the game to hand England a 2-1 victory and secure a place in the semi-finals.
It is the fourth time England have reached the FIFA World Cup semi-finals, having previously done so in 1966, 1990 and 2018.
The fourth quarter-final saw defending champions Argentina defeat Switzerland 3-1 after extra time in Kansas, USA, with nearly 70,000 spectators in attendance.
Argentina took an early lead in the 10th minute and carried a 1-0 advantage into the halftime break after Switzerland failed to find an equaliser.
Switzerland responded in the second half to level the scores at 1-1, sending the contest into extra time.
The reigning world champions then took control, scoring twice in extra time to complete a 3-1 victory and book their place in the last four.
The win sends Argentina into the FIFA World Cup semi-finals for the sixth time. They are also the defending World Cup champions, having lifted the trophy at the previous edition.
The first semi-final will see France take on Spain on July 14, while England will face Argentina in the second semi-final on July 15.
