In their final match of IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals clinched a convincing 6-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings in last night’s clash.
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings posted a total of 187/7. Promising youngster Ayush Mhatre top-scored with 43 runs, while Dewald Brevis added a useful 42.
For the Royals, Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal took 3 wickets each, with Wanindu Hasaranga claiming one.
Chasing 188, Rajasthan Royals reached the target in just 17 overs, losing only 4 wickets. The highlight of the innings was the phenomenal performance by 14-year-old Vaibhav Suriyavanshi, who scored a match-winning 57 runs. He was well supported by captain Sanju Samson (41) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (36).
Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 2 wickets for Chennai.
This was Rajasthan Royals’ final game of the season, and they ended their campaign on a high.
Chennai Super Kings, however, have one match left against Gujarat Titans. A loss in that fixture would mark the first time in IPL history that CSK finishes last in the points table.
