400m female national champion Nadeesha Ramanayake has been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the World Athletics Championships to be held in Tokyo, Japan from September 13-21.
With no Sri Lankan female athletes qualifying for the World Athletics Championships, the Sri Lanka Athletics institute included Dilhani Lekamge and Nadeesha Ramanayake in the universality places offered by World Athletics.
However, that opportunity has been given to Nadeesha Ramanayake.
