Sri Lanka Still Trails by 518 Runs on Day 3

The third day of the first Test between Sri Lanka and Australia began with Sri Lanka resuming their innings at 44/3.

After a slow start, Sri Lanka lost their fourth wicket at 67 runs when Kamindu Mendis was dismissed for 15 runs. Dhananjaya de Silva followed soon after at 107 runs, getting out for 22 runs.

However, Dinesh Chandimal played a steady knock, remaining unbeaten on 63 runs, providing much-needed stability for the Sri Lankan innings.

At lunch, Sri Lanka had reached 136/5, still trailing by 518 runs. With Chandimal at the crease, Sri Lanka will look to build a solid partnership in the second half of the day.
